Mixed Berry French Toast

Sweet, filling, and fully customizable, this griddled French toast is the perfect addition to a Sunday brunch or before-school breakfast. Slice your favorite soft bread, griddle on the flat top, and garnish with your favorite fruits and toppings before enjoying with family.

THE METHOD

In a mixing bowl, add defrosted mixed berries, sugar, and a pinch of salt. Mix well and set aside.

In a separate, shallow bowl, mix eggs, milk, and vanilla extract to make the French toast batter.

Preheat your flat top gas griddle to medium heat. Melt butter on the griddle.

Dip each piece of bread in your prepared batter. Make sure to coat both sides of the bread evenly before placing on the buttered griddle.

Flip each piece of bread every 2-3 minutes until golden brown on each side.

On a large platter, shingle the finished toast and top with mixed berries, whipped cream, and syrup before serving.
